Many of our hunters prefer to rent firearms rather than travel with them.  We pride ourselves on equipping our clients with firearms that exceed industry standards for performance, reliability, and accuracy. You’ll be provided with a rifle that delivers exceptional precision and confidence at extended ranges.

Our fleet includes a carefully curated mix of high-quality factory rifles—such as Tikka, Sako, and Remington 700 models—as well as purpose-built custom rifles tailored for specific applications. Many of these rifles have been upgraded with state-of-the-art components, including precision-machined stocks and tuned or upgraded triggers, ensuring consistent accuracy in the field.

All rifles are equipped with premium optics—primarily Swarovski, Nightforce, and Leupold—each paired and trued to the rifle's ballistic data. These scopes are dial-up capable, allowing precise adjustments for long-range engagements in varied terrain.

We use only premium-grade ammunition, with most rifles chambered for Hornady loads, and select rifles running Federal, Norma, or specialised cartridges to meet specific needs. Suppressors are fitted on the majority of our rifles, aiding in recoil management and reducing noise for improved shooter comfort and minimal disturbance to the environment.

Each setup is complemented by high-quality bipods and, where appropriate, tripod compatibility for stable shooting from challenging or unconventional positions. Our rifles are maintained and serviced regularly by professional guides some with extensive experience in precision shooting and rifle maintenance.

However, it is not difficult to bring conventional sporting rifles into New Zealand. A firearms license and import permit are available at the point of entry into the country. You must fill out an online application no less than SIX MONTHS before you arrive in New Zealand.  Click here to fill out your online application with NZ Police

You will need a copy of your NZ gun permit when you arrive at Auckland airport. You must declare your firearm when you arrive and proceed to the police desk in the arrival hall.  NOTE - If your baggage is missing upon arrival at Auckland Airport it is CRITICAL that you still take the permit and clear your firearms with the police so that your firearms may be forwarded on to Alpine Hunting.  For a list of approved firearms & further information www.police.govt.nz

If you applied for a visitor firearms license and did not apply to bring firearms with you as part of your application, then you will not be able to bring any firearms into New Zealand with you.
